At the glass changeover temperature the resin from the composite softens and substantially increases thermal enlargement; exceeding Tg then exerts mechanical overload on the board components - e.g. the joints as well as the vias. Under Tg the thermal expansion of your resin roughly matches copper and glass, higher than it gets substantially larger.
